Toyota's June sales climb 7 percent from same month last year, but fall 14 percent from May
Toyota managed to post a 7 percent increase June sales over the same month of last year, but its sales were 14 percent lower than May as the broader auto industry weakened.
Toyota, which has been working to rebound from the recall of millions of vehicles over safety concerns, saw better numbers in its top-selling Corolla and Camry sedans, as well as its RAV4 crossover and 4Runner SUV.
BY THE NUMBERS: Toyota sold 140,604 vehicles in June 2010.
TOP SELLER: The Camry sedan. Toyota sold 28,435 Camrys during the month.
HOT MODEL: Sales of the 4Runner were up 232 percent to 3,426.
